With HP wireless printers, you could have printed this from any room in the house. Live wirelessly. Print wirelessly.

In April, Aspyr Media and Kaplan announced plans to offer a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) prep game for the Mac (along with the PC and Nintendo DS). Now the game has a name -- futureU -- and Aspyr has offered further details.

futureU will be divided into three main categories, Math, Reading and Writing. The game is designed to complement more "traditional" SAT learning programs. As it's being developed with Kaplan, futureU utilizes Kaplan's existing curriculum to help students train for the SAT. The software also measures your progress.

The Math section of the game helps players develop skills in algebra, geometry, data, statistics, probability, polynomials and sequences, while the Reading section helps hone vocabulary building, main idea identification, attitude and tone, theme and arguments, technique and context-based word meaning recognition. The Writing section covers passive voice, run-on sentences, misplaced modifiers, parallelism, wordiness, conjunctions, fragments, coordination and subordination, pronouns, subject-verb agreement, tenses, adverbs and adjectives, gerunds, idioms, wrong words and double negatives.

Players will also be able to drill test-taking skills to highlight issues like spotting wrong answers in multiple-choice sequences, knowing when to skip questions and how to manage time effectively.

futureU is coming this fall for all three platforms. It's the first in several titles planned as part of a "multi-year agreement" between the companies.
