REAL Software on Tuesday began shipping its cross-platform development platform, REALbasic.
Compatible with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, REALbasic 2008 adds several new features including the Attributes language feature. It also includes an update to the project analyzer to include warnings of deprecated functionality and other code issues, and an integrated profiler that allows programmers to track down performance issues within their applications quickly without any additional coding, the company said.
Available immediately, REALbasic Personal Edition for Windows or Mac is priced at US$100. REALbasic for Linux Personal Edition is offered for free. REALbasic Professional Edition, required for cross-platform deployment, is $500.
