Strengths: Very good performance when it worked
Weaknesses:Very expensive, very high configuration learning curve, extremely poor customer support
Overall Evaluation: I have serious second thoughts about D-Link products and more especially for the D-Link company. My DFL-210 not even worked for a week before it broke down. For a hardware sold at $544.00 at D-Link store (2007-12-13), that is ridicules.
On top of that, D-Link would not honor its product warranty just because they did not like the store I bough it from. I have spent over a week trying to have them fix there defective product with no luck. D-Link did not even want to sell me the part to fix it.
If you actually consider buying D-Link products, call D-Link first just to make sure they approve the store you are buying from. It really is that stupid!
For last, D-Link will not offer a partial refund for the unused period of the NetDefend IPS yearly subscription if your product breaks down.
In my book, D-Link stands for Dead-Link!
