Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Fast CPU, very quiet
Weaknesses:a little bit hot
Overall Evaluation: This is a decent machine at the decent price. The AMD dual core is as fast as Intel. The only problem is a little hotter than the intel model. The hard disk runs very fast and quiet. The LCD screen is pretty good with short response time.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Beautiful screen, entry level price
Weaknesses:Battery life, keyboard layout
Overall Evaluation: Out of the box, it's fairly well equipped. There's not much bloatware or extra junk pre-installed. Like most things running Vista, this laptop could use 1GB additional RAM to make it snappier. The screen is beautiful, but the non-standard home/page-up/down/end keys take a little getting used to. The dual layer DVD writer and roomy 160GB hard drive are nice bonuses. For a bargain priced machine (less than 5 Benjamins) after rebates the purchase was a no-brainer.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: -big hard drive-fairly fast
Weaknesses:-1GB memory
Overall Evaluation: After upgrading the memory to 2GB, this laptop runs fairly fast. It's quite and does not run too hot as my old laptop. It's great for daily use so I highly recommend this laptop if you can get a good price as I did.

Duration of ownership: 20 Days
Strengths: I bought this laptop for only $400 after rebates. It comes with above-average processing power and everything most people need for basic computing, entertainment and online communication.
Weaknesses:Need to upgrade the memory to 2GB or more.
Overall Evaluation: For less than $500, this laptop comes with dual core/64-bit processing, 1GB DDR2 memory, 160GB HD, DVD SuperMulti drive and ATI Radeon? Xpress X1200 graphics and 319MB of shared video memory is a decent deal.

Strengths: Cheap, Decent specs, Quiet, Runs cool, 160Gb Hard drive, DVD-RW
Weaknesses:1Gb ram is not enough for Vista
Overall Evaluation: This laptop is fairly fast. The 1 GB of ram installed is not enough to run this laptop with Vista installed. I upgraded the ram to 2 GB and this laptop has been much faster with startup and running applications. The first thing I noticed about this laptop is that is runs very quiet and cool. I usually leave my laptop running all day so this is huge plus to me. I highly recommend this laptop if you can get a good price and plan to upgrade the memory.
