Strengths: As advertised, quiet and efficient. It is keeping my Dell latidude 600c cooler and healthier. This also keeps my lap cooler!!!!!
Weaknesses:none yet!
Overall Evaluation: I am hoping this unit extends the life of my laptop which seems to run hot and occasionally cuts out, I believe thermally! The 4 port USB hub is appreciated even though my machine doesn't have USB2.An excellent choice for this type of device!!

Strengths: Does a great job of cooling. My internal notebook fans stay in the low mode and have not hiked up to high mode yet, and I have the notorious 2.4Mghz Dell 250N that shuts down due to heat.
Weaknesses:No weakness I can find other than it raised the keyboard a little too high for me, but I can adjust over time since the notebook will now operate as it should.
Overall Evaluation: I was delighted with the product from the time I took it out of its packaging. The construction and materials are very high quality and its hard to believe that it can be produced for the price ($26.95) that I paid for it. Everything works as noted in the instructions and the little flip out feet have the feel of Mercedes dash switches -- high quality for the money. The UBS connection versus a seperate power transformer really makes sense and is very convenient, but I am ordering a UBS hub extender just to be sure I have enough UBS ports to power and connect all my peripherals ... this is not the Lapcool2's fault, but I only have two UBS ports. If the Chinese can ramp up their production to making cars, I pity Ford, GM and Chrysler -- for that matter, the Chinese automakers will give the Japanese and Koreans a run for their money too.

Strengths: This does exactly what it is supposed to. It is simple, it keeps the laptop cool and it is quiet.
Weaknesses:None that I can see.
Overall Evaluation: Laptops are notorious for overheating, especially the Sony Vaio, like I have. Mine had gotten so bad that it would eventually just shut down. I had considered returning it (I had gotten the extended warranty) for repair. I read about overheating problems with laptops, so I blew out the cooling ports with canned air, which helped slightly, but not enough. I then ran across some comment about a cooling pad and started looking about and came across this one. It gave me a brand new computer. Now it really does perform like the 2GZ computer that it is. The pad is thin, easily hooks up to a USB port and is similar to a docking station. The only downside, if there is one, is that it does raise the computer up about 3/4", but I haven't found that to be a problem. It is a highly recommended solution to overheating problems and it's so simple, hardly anything could possibly go wrong.
