Strengths: Price is right, Excellent screen, weight - very reasonable
Weaknesses:All sorts of trial software slows down the system
Overall Evaluation: The computer boots relatively fast. My first boot took less than a half hour and works well for the 1G memory installed. Windows software with Vista are trial software. Image quality is great, processor's temperature is fine. Uninstalled the HP tial software, Vista performance improved dramatically.Overall for the price I am pleased with the Laptop.

Strengths: New, have not test yet
Weaknesses:Bad service
Overall Evaluation: HP ask $20 for restore disk. Most other company will ask you burn your own restore CD but will send you a restore CD for free. HP will not send you free CD unless you pay $20.

Strengths: Value for money
Weaknesses:1GB of RAM
Overall Evaluation: Bought this from Office Depot as they had it on clearance. This is not my primary laptop but as a secondary one, it has everything I need. Most likely will be used by my kids more than me so they don't need high end processor or graphics, etc. This will allow them to do their homework, check email, use the internet, watch DVD's, etc. Very happy with it so far. No problems getting it set up and getting on line through my router.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Affordable. Dual core. 15.4" LCD. Nvidia GeForce.
Weaknesses:1GB RAM. HP's bad customer service.
Overall Evaluation: This is very nice low-budget laptop. 15.4-inch WXGA high-definition LCD screen gives very sharp graphic, along with NVidia GeForce 7000M graphic card. Usually low-budget laptops are equipped with chip intel graphic card, but this laptop has NVidia GeForce. Though it is not a top-notch graphic card, but I'm much satisfied with results considering the price of the machine. Its CPU is AMD, but built with dual-core architecture and the Vista index is satisfactory. 1GB RAM is too small to run Vista Home Premium. As up to 287MB of the RAM is occupied by the graphic card, the actual available capacity is smaller. Memory upgrade is highly recommended, if you run several applications at the same time.

Strengths: Fast dual core, dvd burner, wireless
Weaknesses:memory is small
Overall Evaluation: The laptop comes with 1.9GHz AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor. It is faster than my prevoius Pentium M processor. It suprised me that the vista gives this processor a much higher score than Intel 's dual core processor in my another laptop while someboday told me Intel dual core is faster. The memory definitely needs to be upgraded to 2GB or 3GB. If you are lucky, you can get a laptop with 1 stick 1GB, otherwise there are 2 sticks 512MB inside so you need to replace both of them. I am happy with the laptop.
