Sony Unveils First OLED TV

Sony recently unveiled the world's first OLED TV set. The eleven-inch screen is just three millimeters thick and offers a wider viewing angle, faster response time, and better contrast and colors than current LCD technology. Called the XEL-1, the OLED TV should go on sale in Japan in December 2007. It will cost around $1740 U.S. There are no plans currently for sale outside Japan.
